Talent is the most important factor for success in any enterprise, and the SINGTEX® Group has always emphasized the importance of talent cultivation. Under the guidance of Chairman Jason Chen, the Group signed the "SINGTEX® International Student Work-Study Program" with the Lee-Ming Institute of Technology in May 2020. Since January 2022, three subsidiaries of the Group have cooperated with Lee-Ming College to kick off the first phase of the international work-study program, with a total of 26 Vietnamese students in the "Department of Fashion and Design - Functional Textile Program" as the cooperative department. In this program, a total of 26 Vietnamese students will be trained for a total of four years.
To help the students establish good living habits and integrate into the corporate culture, in June 2022, the students moved into the GFUN factory dormitories. From the summer vacation of their first year, under the leadership of "Manufacturing Department - Specialist Chin-Tang Yeh", the students wake up at 6:00 a.m. every day for housekeeping, morning exercises, morning training, cleaning and basic education exercises. In the evenings, students are assigned to the Valued Creation Center for evening study and learning courses. In addition to explaining the company's policies and regulations, the students are also accompanied by the Chairman's Secretary, Ms. Chia-Hsin Liu, who is fluent in Vietnamese, to review what they had learned that day and to write reports on their experiences. These measures are expected to enhance the students’ learning and training.
In order to provide full care and support to the students, the company provides free air-conditioned dormitories, meals, uniforms, shuttle to and from the factory and school and utilities. SINGTEX® hopes to relieve financial pressure on the students' families and to provide students with a good restful environment after a long day of study. This is to build up students' sense of belonging to the company and to recognize SINGTEX® as their home away from home.
SINGTEX® is heavily invested in cultivating talent and training future managers and leaders. In addition to short, medium- and long-term training programs for the Group's long-term strategic development, the company also analyzes the business nature of each department and the gap between trainees' capabilities, so as to develop sound training programs.
