Singtex Launched SPIIN™ to Integrate Resources on the Textile Supply Chain in the Asia Pacific Region

Singtex® Industrial(興采實業), a leading textile company in Taiwan, today launched SPIIN™ in Shanghai to integrate industrial resources by leveraging partners on the textile supply chain. SPIIN™ will be the platform for partners to explore creativity and business opportunity of utilizing the coffee yarn, S.Café®, into the textile manufacturing. As of now, more than 50 partners from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and U.S.A. already joined SPIIN™ alliance.

SPIIN™ will vertically integrate the key players in the textile industry from fabric developers to designers for developing sustainable and eco-friendly products with the green textile manufacturing technology, S.Café® yarn. The core ideas of SPIIN™ are innovation, inspiration and nature. To maximize the resources utilization on the textile supply chain, SPIIN™ will be a platform where partners can explore business opportunities, build new business model and share business and technology information.

One of the biggest yarn-dye companies, Huafu Top Dyed Melange Yarn Co., Ltd. (華孚色紡), already joined SPIIN™ with the achievement largely decreasing the waste water discharge in China. In addition, Singtex has already built the partnership with Repreve to produce recycled fiber with S.Café® yarn to further demonstrate creativity and uniqueness.

S.Café® is a technical composite fiber used to make yarn and then becomes knitted or woven fabric through a series of manufacturing processes. S.Café® utilizes the natural ability of coffee grounds to adsorb odors for a comfortable wearing experience and providing UV protection and fast drying. S.Café® has won Best Invention at Geneva Inventions and Pittsburgh Invention Gold Medal Award of Merit. Additionally, S.Café® obtained GRS (Global Recycle Standard ) certification by Control Union (Holland base notarization unit) and Recycled Material Certification by TÜV (Germany base notarization unit).
