ISPO awarded SINGTEX® partner Ternua with an award for their Race Pant M&W built with STORMFLEECE™ Pro fabric (SW-7902C0). These technical pants are made for the diverse weather conditions experienced by professional climbers while trekking, mountaineering, and ice climbing. Ternua’s goal was to create a pair of technical pants that advanced sustainability without losing functionality. To achieve this, Ternua turned to SINGTEX®’s patented STORMFLEECE technology.
Designed for environmental protection, STORMFLEECE™ Pro’s innovative resource efficient construction combines both a fleece and softshell into a hybrid single layer woven fabric. The durable outer side is water-repellent (PFC-free DWR) and windproof without needing lamination or a membrane. On the inner side the fabric is soft like knit.

Another key feature is SINGTEX®’s patented technology ensures that the fabric stays tightly woven to prevent fiber loss and microplastic emissions. This ensures that the fabric is more durable and the world’s oceans are protected from further plastic pollution. The fabric is also bluesign certified and made with recycled polyamide.

The design team at Ternua harnessed the full power of STORMFLEECE™ in their Race Pant design and the end result is an award winning pair of technical pants. Ternua wanted to create an extremely flexible pair of pants that could move and stretch with the wearer. In addition to the fabric providing 4-way stretch, the Race Pant M&W has built in knee panels that provide additional freedom of movement. There is also an adjustable waistband and hemline zippers around the ankles to accommodate larger boots.
